We offer a range of clinics and services at the surgery. There are some tasks you can do, such as health reviews, using our online forms.

Cervical screening (smear tests)

To book a smear test, you can:

Child immunisations

Your child will be sent a reminder letter from us advising you when to book your child in for their vaccinations. If you would like to discuss vaccinations, book an appointment with one of our practice nurses.

Contraception

We are able to offer full contraceptive services by appointment with your doctor or practice nurse. To start the contraceptive pill or any new method of contraception, see a GP.

COPD/asthma reviews

Appointments available with the nurses.

Diabetes health checks

Appointments are available with the nurses.

Health screening

Appointments are available with the nurse.

Minor surgery

Some minor surgical procedures are carried out in the practice and a cryotherapy clinic for freezing skin lesions that do not need surgical removal, is available. Your doctor will refer you to these clinics if it is appropriate.

Nurse services

Appointments can be made with the practice nurses and healthcare assistant for:

  • Chronic disease management (COPD/diabetes/asthma/heart disease)
  • Dressings
  • Cervical smears
  • Ear syringing
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • Immunisations
  • Travel advice
  • Urine testing
  • Blood tests
  • Spirometry

Phlebotomy (blood tests)

Our phlebotomist and healthcare assistant are fully qualified to complete blood tests and are available everyday. Please contact us for details.

Eight week checks for new mothers and babies

With a GP, phone 11am to 1pm or 4:30pm to 6:30pm to book your eight week check. Please come in and fill in registration forms one week before your baby is seen.

If you are worried about your baby, do not wait for the eight week check, see your GP. If the appointments are full, the eight week check can be done a few weeks later.
