Interpreting Service

If you need an interpreter to accompany you to your consultation to make it easier for you and the doctor please ask the receptionist to make arrangements.

Extended Appointments

We are pleased to announce as a patient at Carden & New Larchwood Surgery you are able to pre book appointments with a GP or Nurse in the evening and weekend at Practice Plus, Brighton Station.  If you require an appointment in the evenings or at the weekend please call 0300 130 3333 who will be able to assist you.

Out of Hours Service

If you need urgent medical advice or treatment when the Practice is closed, please telephone NHS 111 who now provide the Out of Hours Service, by dialling 111. You will speak to a specially trained call handler who will ask you various questions - i.e. your name, address, registered GP, a contact telephone number and the reason for your call. It is useful to have a pen and paper handy to make notes regarding the information you will be given.

The 111 service will assess your symptoms and if required refer you to the local on call duty doctor. The duty doctor will be on call for several surgeries and you will usually be asked to attend an emergency clinic so that the doctor can examine you.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
